ABOUT NEDBANK GROUP

Sustainability: it's in our genes

Nedbank is the first large Corporate in South Africa to be going carbon neutral. At Nedbank our aim is to achieve net zero carbon emissions by continuing to reduce the size of our carbon footprint through implementing behavioural change in our staff and how we do business. We will be offsetting the balance of the carbon emisssions by buying carbon credits and funding a portfolio of climate change projects.

In 1990 we embarked on a journey towards sustainability.

And what began as an ambitious business strategy is today a way of life. Not only for all Nedbank staff, but also for the clients, shareholders, regulators and community members with whom our business brings us into contact every day. Because if there’s one thing our journey has taught us, it’s that sustainability is part of our identity.
