Challenging Talent for Success

Introduction

Nedbank was the first corporation to gain the status of an approved training organisation (ATO) in 1997. In addition, the first CA(SA) to qualify through the TOPP (Training Outside Public Practice) route was from Nedbank. Being the first TOPP ATO in South Africa , Nedbank understands the exposure and training needed to turn trainees into successful Chartered Accountants. SAICA is implementing a new training programme where the outcomes of TOPP and TIPP will be merged into one training programme (see SAICA Changing Lanes). Our programme will now be known as the Nedbank CA Training Programme.

Kick-starting your successful career

From day one trainees are exposed to divisions which may become their career of choice. This provides an opportunity for trainees to demonstrate their talent to their potential employers. It is therefore not surprising that most trainees accept offers for permanent positions in their divisions of choice.

Training by experience

Nedbank CA Training offers training rotations in Nedbank Group, Nedbank Capital, Nedbank Corporate and Imperial Bank. Amongst other opportunities, these divisions provide interesting and challenging exposure in specialised finance, group finance, treasury, corporate lending, risk management and international opportunities in Nedbank London.Visit the divisions' websites to find out more:

» Nedbank Capital
» Nedbank Corporate
» Nedbank Group
» Imperial Bank

SAICA Qualifying Examinations

Through supporting our trainees and providing relevant training rotations, Nedbank CA Training Programme has a proven track record of high pass rates.

Nedbank encourages and promotes learning by:
  • planning rotations where trainees obtain their core SAICA competencies
  • sponsoring "board courses" in preparation for SAICA's qualifying exams
  • providing generous study and annual leave
  • using specialists in the bank to present on topics found in SAICA's qualifying exams

Supporting you all the way

By focusing on a select few trainees, we provide a quality training programme that supports and challenges you into becoming a successful Chartered Accountant and business leader.

If you are the person that loves a challenge and appreciates a supportive environment where you can start shaping a successful career, the Nedbank Chartered Accountant Training Programme is for you.

Applications for 2011 close on 31 March 2010.
